Alan Tague, VP Loss Control
Gander Mountain Company

With over 30 years experience in retail loss prevention and risk management, Alan Tague currently works for Gander Mountain, an outdoor lifestyle retailer that has rapidly grown to over 100 stores throughout the eastern half of the United States. Alan is responsible for all security and loss prevention functions, risk management, insurance and regulatory compliance including OSHA, EPA and ATF. His loss prevention career includes previous experience with Target, Software Etc.(Gamestop) and Tires Plus stores in a wide variety of store formats including big box, mall-based, strip mall and stand alone stores in discount, service center and specialty environments.

Alan has been a frequent speaker at the National Retail Federation’s annual Loss Prevention Conference, is currently a member of the NRF’s Loss Prevention Advisory Council, a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) and a member of the Center for Interviewing Standards and Assessment’s Advisory Board.
