Debbie Maples, Senior Director of Investigations and Corporate Security
Gap, Inc.

Debbie Maples is currently the Senior Director of Corporate Security & LP Investigations. Debbie joined Gap Inc in 2001 where she supported Gap Brand and Outlet Divisions as the Regional Loss Prevention Manager. Debbie was promoted to Director of Banana Republic in 2005. In 2006 Debbie transitioned into the Gap Inc role as Director of LP Investigations and Training. In 2007 Debbie was promoted to Senior Director where she assumed the responsibility of the Corporate SecurityTeam and LP Investigations (Area Investigators and the Organized Retail Crime Teams).

Debbie is the executive sponsor for key initiatives on behalf of the Gap Inc Loss Prevention Leadership team, Diversity Council, Standards Committee and the Workplace Violence Committees. Debbie is also a Certified Forensic Investigator; she serves on the Advisory Board for WZ Certified Forensic Investigators organization. Debbie belongs to the Women In Loss Prevention Council and the Joint Organized Retail Crime Task Force with the NRF association. Debbie also serves on a Task force with RILA on Crimes against Businesses. Prior to Gap Inc Debbie supported Federated Department Stores for 5 years as a Regional LP Director and the Director of LP Operations. Debbie also worked for the Carter Hawley Hale Emporium Department Stores Division for 16 years within the Loss Prevention organization.

On a more personal note Debbie grew up inBerkeley, California, is married and has 2 children, her daughter Meaghan and son Nicholas. Debbie is very involved with her local community church where she volunteers and serves on the Advisory Board for Women. Debbie’s favorite quote is “Good luck is when hard work meets opportunity!”
