Carolyn Korchik, CFI

Why did you become a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI)

I am a relatively new to the Loss Prevention field and want to learn as much as possible to increase my skills and knowledge.

What was the most difficult challenge you came across while preparing for the CFI exam?

Scheduling time to study and sticking to the schedule was the most difficult part for me.

Do you use social media? If so which ones?

Yes, I primarily use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about trying new things – whether it’s traveling to an exotic destination, meeting new people, or learning how to make sushi!

If you could trade places for a day with anyone, who would it be?

I think it’d be fun to trade places with my husband for a day.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you bring?

It depends on how long am I stranded for, if there is there cell phone service, whether fresh water is available and if people count as “things” to bring – If these items don’t count, I’d bring blanket because I am always cold, a book about living off the land so I can figure out what plants are safe to eat, and some kind of a device to make the water safe to drink – it’s all about the basics of survival!

What’s your favorite movie?

This is a tough question. I am a sucker for sports movies with great morals and stories of overcoming great odds. I love Glory Road, Remember the Titans, and a League of Their Own.
