Director of Loss Prevention
Altar’d StateWhat are you most excited about in your new position?
I’m really excited about the opportunity to build a department and be a part of a growing specialty retailer that truly believes in giving back.
What interests you the most about your new role?
Being a Director is something I’ve been working toward for many years. The opportunity to join a unique retailer at this point in its evolution really excited me. The fact that Altar’d State is headquartered in my home state of Tennessee was also very appealing.
How has being a CFI helped you in your career?
Being a CFI is such a recognized symbol of professionalism in the LP industry that I don’t think I would be where I am without it. It’s also been a great networking tool to get to know other CFI’s and LP professionals. I believe all executives should be very involved with the internal interview process as this is a key part of any successful department.
For what in your career are you most grateful?
Working in Loss Prevention can be challenging. This unique role involves dealing with negative situations that can be stressful. I learned early in my career that you have to keep a positive attitude and not let your emotions get the best of you. I’m most grateful for having had the opportunity to work with many talented executives who recognized this shill set and are grateful to have a resource for addressing issues in a professional manner.
